If you’re seeking your own apartment, check out one-bedroom, one-bathroom units. The Joule, The Carpenter, The Roosevelt and The Carlyle all offer a private, spacious place to unwind.

To help you decide between these four floor plans, we’ve created this article to help you compare and contrast each option’s features.

The Joule is the most efficient one-bedroom unit at Rambler Columbus. The kitchen is one-walled to keep a streamlined look.

Whether you’re entertaining friends or enjoying some much-needed alone time, The Joule’s open-concept living area can accommodate whatever your plans are.

My favorite part about this floorplan is that in the bedroom, your closet is just across from your washer/dryer, making laundry a breeze. The ensuite bathroom has a shower/tub combo and plenty of room to fulfill all your needs!

The Carpenter is larger than The Joule, great for those who love to host or are looking for plenty of space. The living area has an extra window which brings in lots of natural light to brighten your apartment.

The oversized bedroom gives you plenty of room to add a personal touch to the space, with the potential to add extra decor or furniture pieces.

In addition, the ensuite bathroom features a luxurious shower/tub combo and sleek countertops that add a modern touch. The bathroom has two entrances, one accessible from the bedroom and another from the kitchen, making it convenient for guests. Additionally, this unit includes a coat closet for more storage space.

Similarities and Differences

Floor Plan The Joule The Carpenter The Roosevelt The Carlye
Shower Type Shower/tub combo  Shower/tub combo Shower/tub combo Shower/tub combo
Built-in Bar vs Peninsula  Peninsula Peninsula Built-in Bar N/A

The Carlye is the largest one-bedroom unit, followed by The Carpenter, The Roosevelt and The Joule.

Each apartment has an open concept living/kitchen area. In most floor plans, the bedroom is accessible off the living area. The Roosevelt’s bedroom door is located off the entry way.

All units come furnished with a sofa, coffee table, an entertainment stand and a wall-mounted smart TV in the living space. Each bedroom is equipped with a bed, two stackable dresser drawers and faux wooden blinds for the window.

The choice will come down to what is most valuable to you in regard to how your space is allocated. For example, The Joule and The Carpenter have ensuite bathrooms and The Roosevelt and The Caryle have private bathrooms. The Roosevelt and The Caryle have larger living and kitchen areas, but The Joule and The Carpenter have more bedroom space.

All the one-bedroom units are located in different locations within Rambler. If you opt for The Joule your unit can overlook any view you want. If you are looking to have a view of the courtyard, you should consider The Roosevelt. The Carpenter has views of OSU Campus and The Carlyle has views of Columbus facing East.

The Joule and The Carpenter both have peninsula style kitchens, while The Roosevelt has a separate counter space where you will find the two barstools.
